Parts & Accessories Counter Person
Job Summary:
· Selling of OEM and aftermarket parts and accessories.
· Training yourself with product knowledge in YDS, EBIZ, KTM and catalogues
· Maintaining seasonal stock levels.
· You are expected to have a workable knowledge of aftermarket suppliers, for all aspects of our business.
· Reports directly to the Parts Manager
Responsibilities:
· Your # 1 responsibility is the customer in front of you, never the phone.
· Looking up and ordering of parts accurately.
· Proactively study new products and technical language to effectively communicate with the customers
· Processing of special orders with suppliers.
· Co-ordinate warranty claims and parts needed. Process claims in an accurate and timely manner.
· Estimate for parts on potential work orders.
· Work with service team to produce the highest quality work and best value possible for the customer while maintaining profitability targets and goals.
· Restocking of shelves and general cleaning of products.
· Maintain a fresh merchandise level for customers to see.
· You will be expected to circulate on the floor to assist customers, and familiarize yourself with products available on the displays.
Required Skills / Experience:
· The ability to work Tues – Sat 9:00 till 5:30, punctually.
· Extremely organized and able to balance multiple tasks at one time
· You must be detail oriented and organized.
· You should have a great memory.
· Previous 3 + years experience as a parts person in power sports industry.
· Passion for motorcycles, atv’s and snowmobiles.
· Working knowledge of 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines.
· Able to meet sales targets set by Parts Manager.
Educational Requirements:
· Completion of High School.
· Able to lift 20 - 40 lbs. (Tires)
· Microsoft office including Excel, Word and Outlook experience.
